Micaella Pedros’

“Boobgammon”

Celebrating the Liberated Breast and Female Empowerment

‘A boob holds powerful meanings. It can be a symbol of resistance, it can be nourishing, it can be obscene, it can be political, it can be empowering amongst many other things.’

On the playing surface, Wooden Boobs face each other in competition whilst simultaneously projecting an aura - softening the sharp tip of the backgammon Points.

As with Micaella’s wood turned sculptures, the grains and shades of different species of Wood Veneer are delicately used to represent a diverse range of skin tones in Marquetry.

Boobgammon came about as a collaboration born out of the creative environment of Blackhorse Workshop, Walthamstow.

The original board has now sold, but can be commissioned and customised on request.
